For those who love NASCAR racing, you're at the right place. You can begin your tour at any of the sites. You might want to begin at Arrington Engines to see race car engines built, then visit Checkered Flag Sports-Southprint to watch tee shirts become race souveniers. A tour of Martinsville Speedway, the beautiful .526-mile oval track could be the next leg of your trip. After a break for lunch at one of our fine restaurants, a 30-minute drive up Highwy 58 west will take you to the Wood Brothers Race Shop and Museum in Stuart, Va., home of one of racing's first families and Winston Cup car No. 21. If you plan to be in our area overnight, we can arrange a delightful dinner and entertainment at the Piedmont Arts Association in Martinsville. Guests will also enjoy browsing in the five exhibition galleries. Dinner requires a minimum of 15 people. Select overnight lodging at one of our 11 hotels/motels. Call the Martinsville-Henry County, Virginia Office of Tourism toll-free at 866-632-3378 for more information.
