Storybook Garden, Blue Ridge Regional Library
The storytelling area of the children's section of the Martinsville library overlooks this unique garden which began as a community and safety project of the Martinsville Garden Club. The perennial beds are located at the back of the library and contain flowers mentioned in well known children's books such as Daisies from the book Daisy Head Maisy and Chamollie from Peter Rabbit. The blooms of a variety of other plants are enjoyed by visitors of all ages during the spring, summer, and fall. Accent pieces such as a fairy tale character painted birdhouse, feeders and statues compliment the garden's theme.
